Books and community,
for a more enchanted world.

Welcome to Woodlander, a personal journal and curated bookshop oasis.

I’ve noticed the world has lost some of its shimmer—dimmed by our disconnection from nature and from one another. Woodlander is an invitation to rediscover that lost enchantment. There’s four places I go to reconnect deeply to what really matters and to the soul of my life and the universe that I live in: books, my spiritual practice, nature and my community.

I’ve been on a multi-year healing journey, recovering from many things: pregnancy & motherhood, chronic illness, eating disorders, addiction and the trauma that caused it - now, injury, divorce, empty nesting, menopause. The list goes on! And perhaps yours does as well. We are all living a life, generated by our choices, circumstances, forks in the road. I find that, in mid-life it all comes home to roost, as they say, and I am in the middle of integrating my life thus far, while healing from all of it.

Books have always been a friend to me, in good times and bad - and bookshops a place of solace and recuperation - an oasis. This “bookshop blog” is meant to be your oasis, full of carefully curated reads that have helped me along the way and for your own healing pathways and fantastical journeys. And, if you like, you can purchase through here as well. So grab a cuppa, take a seat. It’s great to have you here.
